Mike Kellet is our Sensei at Taigakai - 'Chelmsford'

Mike has been into martial arts most of his life, starting in judo as a teenager, then running his own successful judo club for around 30 years.
He progressed into Iaido in the early 80's and started the Horndon branch of Taigakai, before moving to the Chelmsford dojo. He normally trains 3 times a week and his aim is to get his students up to his level.
He recently gained his 5th dan and is now working towards his 6th dan.
Mike is assisted in the dojo by dojo leader Dan Ivermee and sempai Tony Bennett.

The Chelmsford dojo is located at Barnston village hall, Chelmsford Rd (A130), Barnston, Essex, CM6 1LR.
Training takes place on Friday 8pm - 10pm.

Directions from the M11
1. At junction 8, take the A120(E) exit to (Stansted Airport / Colchester / B. Stortford) go 0.4 mile
2. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Thremhall Ave (A120) go 0.4 mile
3. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the A120 ramp to Colchester go 0.4 mile
4. Merge onto the A120 go 7.0 mile
5. Take the exit toward Great Dunmow (B184) go 0.2 mile
6. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Chelmsford Rd (B1008)
Go through 1 roundabout 		go 0.6 mile
7. Turn right into Barnston Village Hall carpark


Directions from the A12 South (Chelmsford)
1. Exit at junction 19, toward 'Stansted Airport / Sudbury / Chelmsford' (A130/A138) go 0.2 mile
2. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto Main Rd (A130) go 0.2 mile
3. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A130,
Go through 1 roundabout 		go 0.6 mile
4. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto White Hart Lane (A130),
Go through 2 roundabouts 		go 1.3 mile
5. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Essex Regiment Way (A130),
Continue to follow Essex Regiment Way,
Go through 4 roundabouts 		go 4.4 mile
6. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto B1008 go 4.5 mi
7. Turn left onto Barnston Village Hall carpark

Directions from the A12 North (Colchester)
1. At junction 25, take the A120(W) exit to 'Stansted Airport / Marks Tey' go 0.4 mile
2. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto the A120 go 0.3 mile
3. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Coggeshall Rd (A120),
Continue to follow A120, Go through 2 roundabouts 		go 9.1 mile
4. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on A120,
Go through 1 roundabout 		go 10.3 mile
5. Take the exit toward Chelmsford (A130) go 0.2 mile
6. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Chelmsford Rd (B1008),
